Benefits of Grass Fed Sheep
At Pendle Pastures, our closed flock of native Welsh Mountain & Wilpshire horn cross sheep are 100% grass fed and raised slowly on our organically managed pastures. This natural diet keeps them more contented and healthy then a comparative diet on grains, and also means their fat is higher in omega 3.
Our meat has a remarkable depth of flavour that is a result of a varied 100% pasture diet with no grains, soya, brassicas, root crops or silage upon which the animals slowly mature on. The meat, is rich in vitamins, minerals, nutrients and heart beneficial fats.
Our flock produces meat which would be perfect for a paleo or keto diet.
100% grass fed meat contains a vastly higher concentration of beneficial nutrients then compared to animals supplemented on grains. It is:
